These balls look great for a couple days. The issues:
1 came with a missing battery
They were placed on a spa wall that separates the pool from the spa not in the water. They leaked like crazy and this of course ruined the batteries, etc.
They have O rings that don't work. The directions are good about tightening the battery compartment by aligning the arrows however that is not sufficient to stop the leaking. If you want something that lasts a couple days...go ahead and buy these. Otherwise forget it. I am returning them today.

We were excited to use these to light & decorate the deck area around our pool, but very disappointed to find that the light is dim at best (they glow inside, but give off NO light beyond the globe). And what light there is lasts a much shorter time than the description implied. All four were placed on a patio table where they received equal sunlight throughout the day. At dusk one of them gives barely visible light for about 5 minutes (basically doesn't work). The other three vary from 30 minutes to just over 2 hours, even on days with full sun. On cloudy days, none last more than half an hour. A big waste of money!

These are fabulous to put in a pool, spa, or fountain if you don't mind spending [$] on each ball. And you will probably need a cool dozen to make it look right. Also if you barely tap or just drop the ball on the table (1-2" or less) while you are trying to turn them on, they will break. Plus the "watertight" seals aren't, so you'll have to replace 75% of the balls to use at another party.
