The good: Was very impressed by the quality of the packaging and the product. These lanterns are well-made (in USA, Yay!)and one of the few things I have been able to find in solar with amber LEDs. They cast a warm and lovely glow which we absolutely love for evenings on the patio. Am beyond satisfied with their appearance.
The not-so-good: Due to the fact that we hang the lanterns from the beams of our patio roof, the solar panels do not receive enough sunlight to charge properly unless we take them down each morning and set them out in the sun throughout the day; inconvenient, but understandable considering the mechanics of solar panels. What is really disappointing, however, is that even though we set them in full sun during the day, they only stay lit for about 2-3 hours once it is dark. I ordered 4 lanterns and they all have this problem. Would gladly have rated them 5 stars, if not for this drawback.
