I Installed this solar light on a wood mobile home deck. It is nice to have light on when arriving home from work during the dark hours. It has a bright light that lights up the entire front door area on a 4'x8' deck. Also, it is easier to find the house and drive during the night. Very easy to install with or without instructions. With the on switch turned on it turns on and off automatically. When the sun goes down it turns on, when the sun comes up it turns off. The only thing is the screws included with the light are of poor quality. I had to throw one screw out and replace it. I used wood screws that are closer to the color of the black lamp. The included screws are silver and are better for installing in non wood surfaces. It arrived packed well in a very good grade of bubble wrap and a strong box. No broken parts. I would recommend this item to anyone and would purchase again.
